Some photos from the WDAS Annual Caricature Show.. and I was “gotten” a couple of times too!

Logan & I by the one & only (and fellow Lindy Hop enthusiast!) John Musker

A great drawing of me by Ben Lane (That was done in front of my eyes in about 5 seconds.)

And last, but not least- I was drawn by one of the best artists (and nicest guys) I know, Bobby Pontillas! (he has tons of amazing caricatures up that he did for the show on his Tumblr- check it out!)

WDAS Annual Caricature Show (Part 2)

Every year on April 1sty Disney Animation hosts a studio-wide caricature show. I submitted 13 drawings of co-workers.

Happy April Fools!

Photos from Bhutan & Nepal (Part 1)

Logan & I spent a wonderful 5 weeks traveling around Nepal and another week exploring Bhutan. Here is a selection of 55 of my favorites from the trip.

We started our trip in Kathmandu & a whirlwind day getting acclimated to the city. The next day we flew to Pokhara to get ready for our 2 week trek to the Upper Mustang Region of Nepal. This area is protected and you need special permits to go there as a tourist. Our flight to Jomsom was cancelled so our planned 20 minute flight turned into a 12 hour travel adventure/ordeal as we made our way to our destination in a taxi, jeep (with 8 other people in it), and two separate buses after the first broke down!

Our trek was amazing- I will let the pictures tell that story. The highlight was arriving in the ancient city of Lomanthang and having tea with the King of Mustang.

We spent several days in Kathmandu & Pokhara exploring. We were able to celebrate Tihar (Hindu Festival of Lights) and the Newari New Year in Kathmandu. We finished up our time in Nepal with an amazing experience- a week living with a wonderful family in Gati near the Tibet border and 3 days in the local primary school reading & playing games with the kids. I definitely learned more than I taught them!

We flew to Bhutan (right past the peak of Mount Everest!) and spent a week driving around the country with our tour guide visiting the country’s many beautiful monasteries and finished the trip off with a hike to the soaring Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Thanks to Social Tours Nepal, Bridge to Bhutan & Backpacker Concierge for helping us plan and book our trip and our fantastic guides Pemba & Pratik (Mustang Trek) and Kinga (Bhutan).
